DIANI BEACH TOUCH RUGBY DATES 11th/12th/13th June 2010

The above dates fit in with the Safaricom Sevens which will be held in Nairobi on the 4th/5th/6th of June 2010.

We apologies for the change in dates but the Safaricom Sevens and the Diani Beach Touch Rugby tournements have had to work around the football world cup to be held in South Africa this year.

Introduction

The Diani Beach 5-a-Side Touch Rugby tournament takes place in Kenya on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Five kilometres of wonderful white sand, amazing clear blue waters with a coral reef running parallel six hundred meters offshore. This is an idyllic setting for this annual tournament.

The event is held the weekend after the international Safaricom Sevens tournament held in Nairobi, Kenya. This provides and ideal opportunity for spectators to enjoy two weekends of spectacular rugby in Kenya while others participate.

The emphasis is on having an entertaining weekend with some great Touch Rugby while catching up with many old friends and making lots of new ones! The event is a perfect opportunity for a holiday with the family. Perhaps fit in a Game Safari in one of our many world renowned game parks or private game ranches. The Shimba Hills and Tsavo National Game Parks are just a drive away; others can be reached by an airstrip which is five minutes away. Deep sea fishing, diving, kite/wind surfing, snorkelling and a challenging 18 hole golf course are all available in Diani. If you prefer to just relax, the beach is the perfect place to laze around.

Special rate accommodation is available within five minutes walk of the venue Forty Thieves Beach Bar at the following two hotels: Diani Sea Resort or Diani Sea Lodge. The rates per person are Kenya Shillings 4,400/- (approx: 35GBP) for a single and 3,400/- (approx: 27GBP) for a double. Kenyan residents will be offered a further 10% discount to these special rates.
